The Team Behind PivotReset
Abiot Y. Derbie, PhD
Abiot is a biomedical data scientist specializing in multi-prediction modeling, large-scale data pipeline engineering, and analytics on complex, multi-source datasets. He holds a PhD in Neuroscience from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, with a Bachelor's and Master's in Psychology. His research focuses on building predictive models that extract meaningful patterns from thousands of variables to inform real-world outcomes.
His background in psychology fuels a deep interest in behavioral finance and the cognitive side of money — understanding why people make the financial decisions they do under stress, how cognitive biases shape recovery from major life events, and how better tools can help people overcome those biases. PivotReset was born from that intersection: rigorous data science meets the human side of life-event financial recovery.
He built PivotReset by applying data-science methods to life-transition decisions. Benchmarks link to their underlying sources, and tools that complete formal mathematical validation display that status on the tool. Validation is disclosed per tool, not claimed site-wide.
Armin Allahverdy, PhD
Armin reviews the mathematical foundations of tools submitted for formal validation. His work focuses on quantitative methods, formula verification, dimensional consistency, and edge-case handling. Completed reviews are identified on the relevant tool; tools without that status remain pending review.
